Management Group News

Hello!!

Yes we are still here, I know there has been some questions about regarding the Management Group and just what is happening with us. Well I can assure you we have not dissapeared into neverland, but have been very busy indeed. Now I am not going to pretend that we have been working on GIG 100% of our days, but we have been devoting an awful lot of our spare time into the venture and things are really coming along.

We have set this venture up to be an honest entity for the aid of you all, and we have been busy outside of our GIGMutual tasks that have slowed things down a little. I for one have a baby due (well my wife does ;)) in 3 weeks, a couple of MG have been overseas on business, and starting new ventures offline, but despite all that, much progress has been made.

I hope you can all continue to show the support and patience you have all shown so far, I assure you GIG is closer than ever to launch!

You may have noticed some downtime recently at http://www.gigmutual.com, despite some suspicions, this had nothing to do with DDOS, but instead was due to our hosting company switching Operating Systems on us without notification.

The pleasing thing is that despite this, we had a system in place to continue development, and proved to us the merit to us ensuring a payment system that does not rely on the Gig website.

Now in terms of development, the initial build of the site is done!! and is currently being thoroughly tested as I write this. I cannot express enough gratitude to Rehana who has put in amazing hours to get this done in double quick time. I work in the software development industry, and believe me what she has done in the time is amazing!

Launch Date

Launch date is still as yet unknown, but is getting much closer, as the website completion and DD process is wrapping up. We hope to be able to give you a better idea of the launch in the upcoming week.

Research and Due Diligence

RDD is going great guns, and fxnick has done a fantastic job of co-ordinating the efforts of all the volunteers on teh RDD team. I have seen the results, and am really impressed with the efforts and thoroughness shown from the whole team. The good news is there is clearly programs that will be suitable for what we need, so it is full steam ahead.

Staying Active

It has been said many times now that staying active here in Goldentalk will benefit you on the launch of GIG. This hasn't changed, however moderators will be reviewing the quality of posts, so be sure not to try to boost your post count with silly comments or dummy posts. The Goldentalk moderators (of which I am one) will frown down on that kind of action.


So there you have it, the website prototype is done, legal documents are done, design is done, RDD is almost complete, testing is underway .. you can see we are getting close. Ill do my best to keep you all updated.

Thanks, Adam, for the update.

I know what it is like when you volunteer your time to help others, especially in organising things. I congratulate you and all the team for keeping at it. The best products anywhere are the ones with meticulous planning, just as the best results are always from good preparation. Think of a good meal or a great paint job on your favorite car.

Congrats also on your impending baby. I have a 2.5yr old son and am expecting twins (girl & boy) late Oct. You think you are busy now!!!! LOL

Keep up the good work but don't rush things and remember you and your families come first - the last thing we want is for any of you to burn out.

I've been lurking in this and other forums for a month. I've only invested in feederfund so far and I've been following this gig development closely. From this thread, it sounds like posting in the forum will have some impact on joining. I personally don't post much in any forum as I am new and I feel I can learn more by reading. So I hope that posting has, at least, a minimal impact on joining gig as I am definitly interested.

He he he... I guess your phrase do catch my attention.

Why would GIG goes private? GIG is already a private club. We open the membership to all the GoldenTalkers only. By being a friend in GoldenTalk.com you can already be a part of GIG.

Well, maybe being private means we don't want GIG to accept anymore new investments coming in or closing the door from the outside world. Right now my concept is that what is the use of GIG if it closes the door to our friends outside there? GIG would not be able to help anymore... rather than help its existing members.

I believe all of us want GIG to be open forever... even stay healthy and safe forever. Unless we have a very strong reason... GIG will never go private.

As for the birth of GIG, I am as excited as you guys are! I am right next to you placing my hopes and dreams in GIG's hand so that someday I will look back and I can see myself smiling knowing that GIG has been there for me, always been there for me and will also be there for me for tomorrow to come.

wht do u mean by .'You think you are busy now' a mum with one baby and a mum with two babies has difference ..but their hubies are in same position ..i dont think they need to double busy in case of twins ;)
