Daily Update (23 July 2005)

I am happy to let you know that 4 of the wanted 5 Management Group (MG) members have been invited and have accepted. The remaining person we are awaiting a reply on, so check your PM's just in case you have missed an invitation. The announcement of the Management Group will be made once we have a total of five members which should not be too long away.

Management Group News

Business Plan:

First thing is first, we need to gather all the fantastic ideas that have been spawned so far and form them into the basic business plan that will outline the path we hope to take GIG. Details of this plan will be made available to goldentalkers for comment and review.

Team Allocation:

One we know the road we wish to travel, we will then need to find the vehicles to take us there (Investment areas), and the drivers to steer them in the right direction. Happily, there are a couple of areas we already have volunteers for, but once the actual areas we wish to use are sorted, we will put a call out for applicants.

Other News

Disclosure/Transparency:

As part of agreeing to the Management Group, came the understanding that some form of transparency will be needed. We will discuss what can be disclosed to investors and what cannot.

Closed Forum

On another matter, the question of the "Closed forum" concept has been raised. As you can see, the Investors Space area is currently an open forum for all people to see. I have done this on purpose to encourage the flow of ideas in this initial stage. Once the business plan has been arranged, we may move to a closed forum with only those showing an intent to invest admitted. I will make sure there is plenty of warning before this happens.

Theads removed/moved:

You will notice that some of the threads have been removed, there was nothing wrong with the threads, however I thought it was time to draw the line and take everything from this point and move forward with the plan. I have left two threads open for you to all go for gold on, so please feel free to keep the information flow happening.

Announcements Section:

We should have an Announcements section soon where threads like this will be moved to. Watch this space.


And I think that wraps it up, any questions or comments on the above, feel free to reply in this thread. I will try to maintain daily updates as we go through the early stages.

Interested.. as posted earlier when this GIG was first put to the GT forum.. but im not clear on the business plan.. and where the investments will be...

Aalso whats this DX thing got to do with GIG.. i dont mind if its a part of the investment portfolio.. but will not be comfortable if its taking a major porotion of the investments.. as DX also has a life span.. and id hate to be in it if its saturating..

Pls forgive me for my ignorance. but the physical world has been a bit too though for me these days...

Just for your peace of mind.
The Dx strategy - which, please remember, is only a proposal and not fact - is one that I employ personally to guard against "total loss" from scammers.

Basically, my personal strategy is to feed ALL my spends and ALL my profits through Dx. This increases my Portfolio value (which earns more profit) and then within a few days I can withdraw 90% of the invested value and put it to work somewhere else. So principal is NOT tied up here - it just passes through - but it continues to earn profit in the Portfolio even after it is gone.

Employing this strategy means: YOU CAN LOSE EVERY SINGLE CENT OF YOUR INVESTMENTS OUTSIDE OF DX BUT YOU STILL EARN PROFIT FROM IT! So sooner or later, you get it all back... even at 9% per month, we WILL still get it back in 12 months..

Don't be too worried about DX. It's not a hyip, it's a business venture bigger than e-bay and PayPal. I'm not saying it's bulletproof, but it looks better than anything else that I've seen online.

It's a good idea, I'm not sure if trader-jack is up to par, but for example. If funds went through dx, then through a facility like jack's, i.e. non locked principal + daily interest. Even if the funds pass through, en-route to somewhere fabulous, they leave some profit in there to compound.
It's would seem a good way to recoup some exchange fees. If nothing else.

I suppose ultimately setting up an exchange service to work in tandem with GiG would be the way forward, however, in the short term maybe an idea to approach the admin of trader jack to see if we feel happy passing funds that way.

Thanks for the info. Actually what I meant to say was that Dx intends to be bigger........ I agree entirely that they have a long way to go yet!

anyway - nothing is settled yet. When I made that post I was full of enthusiasm for the way the strategy was working for me personally - but then they (Dx) changed the rules and now i'm not quite so happy - it will need a rethink, and in the case if our GIG, maybe a revision of policy as to whether Dx will in fact play a part.
It's under discussion right now.
