Hi Rastishka, have a look at this thread: http://goldentalk.com/t2816.html that has some info on your question, but personally I use AVG free edition which is great.

About your question ... never use more than one Antiviruses on your machine! More than 2 antivirus softwares are fighting each other and this isn't OK. Use one and don't forget about frequent updates.

You could try AVG from http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1 although I am dismayed to discover it is no longer free, unless I’m missing something somewhere.
But you can use AVG for a 30 days trial and then pay $33.30 for a 2 years license with free upgrades and data updates (they are almost daily) and access to technical support. It works well with the Zone Alarm firewall too. |

There is still a free version of AVG, it's just hiding very well. I use it, and HIGHLY recommend it. http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php
It's simple and fast. It automatically updates each day if you set it to, and will scan each day if specified. Very streamlined, which I like. I don't like McAfee. Uninstalling it is as bad as some of the worst spyware (at least whatever version came stock on a Dell). It took a lot of digging. I think McAfee and Norton are bloated. I tried changing some options for a friend who had Norton, and I had a tough time finding what I needed. More options than most people need. It might be more suitable for businesses. |
