There are reports that Yahoo is joinning forces with Google and will allow Google to put ads in a percentage of Yahoo's Web search queries. It will be a two-week test and will permit Google to show their ads to 3 percent of the queries made in the US through Yahoo. What do you think would be the consequesces for advertisers? Are they going to win from this partnership or it will be attached with some problems?

i don't think google need to have any partnership deal with yahoo...and i they does reach to any conclusion it could result in cartalisation and probably benefits as well as losses for advertisers.
THey will get benefited because their ad. will be visible on both Yahoo and google the two biggest name in business. On the other hand they might have to pay higher price. Last edited by jambutty : 19-06-2008 at 03:10 PM. |

Google and Yahoo are under fire for their contract deal, which would see Google powering some of the ads that are showed along with search result pages in Canada and United States.
People against this advertising agreement state that it would further strengthen the domination of Google in this market's segment. Yahoo and Google claim opposite. Google has opened a new section on their site to highlight their claims. Check out this section by clicking the link: Facts about the Yahoo-Google advertising agreement. |

If Yahoo! can make more money by displaying ads from Google then why not?
