VPN and Proxy surfing?
I just came to know about VPN a few days back and it is a quite new thing for me. I thought Proxies are only way to surf the web anonymous but I think VPN is more reliable. Till now I haven't used it but I shall like to know about it more before giving it a try. Please share your valuable experience if you are already using it.

Yes, VPN is the best way to protect your anonymity online, even better than SSH tunneling. Offshore ones like Perfect Privacy are the best, they have servers worldwide so you can even appear as connecting from different cities in the States and Europe and even Russia and Iran

Proxy server is a mediator between a client and the real web server that he/she is trying to use. In other words, when someone makes a request through a proxy, this proxy server makes a request from the real server and passes the result back to the client.
