Default Wired Surf

Back as a manual surf. The surf bar is MUCH more stable and the site has been tweaked. Some people are rightly nervous about it all, but I'm happy to give it another go. I have a soft spot for this lot. Hope its not misplaced

(Yeah yeah I know... I said I would never again... oh well)

Well, only a couple of weeks into the program again and there are script problems (why am I not surprised!). Some others in the program are familiar with the particular script and are saying to WS to get rid of it because its nothing but trouble, however I am not confident that they will take good advice, they didn't last time around when we advised them to get a new script and get DDos protection, they haven't this time when dead links have been pointed out on the site, and I expect that they won't, overall, when the script starts functioning again, they will persist with it. I can NOT imagine why anyone would choose a script which requires the functioning of its coder's website to keep working.

Oh well, serves me right. We shall see what happens. I'll report back, I can see people are reading, even if they aren't participating.

Just curious, what is the reason for them to comeback?

Its long and complicated. To cut it short, they feel they have learned from the previous experience and are ready to give it a good go this time.

Further to my previous post, the site is back, and working, sorta. Script problems are still there. I've requested the first of two cashouts I will have with my $10 adpack and am sure it will be paid in a couple of days.

Cool

My philosophy is never to go back.

I lost a bit on WS but I’ve made that up and more elsewhere so WS can go take a running jump.

I lost on WS and then lost in one after another x4 in AS which is why I had given it up as a dead loss. I'll pass a final opinion on WS when I have received both my payments.

Its sour grapes, no more or less. And I find it interesting that he pointed at Drunks World for proof of the essential badness of WS when over there, WS is being recommended as somewhere to join. Perhaps he thought just the mention of Drunks World would be enough and nobody would actually check. Interesting he didnt provide a link to the proof, just to the main site.

I wish the naysayers would spend as much time savaging other programs which are no more or less financially volatile. But WS has been in the crosshairs since the first time it came along... and I, for one, am sick of reading negative stuff about one program when on the same page you read positive stuff about another similar program. Its all about taking attention away from one and placing it on another, to get referrals. Everyone does it, but lets not pretend its for any other reason.

I hope WS outlasts the lot of them, whether I am in, or not.

I've received the second of my payments from WS. I have lost faith in them alas. Not for any particular reason, perhaps its the general lack of interest the community is showing, its just not like it was last time around and they aren't getting the numbers. Other factors influencing my decision not to put any more money in: just a simple thing.. a link on the front page of the site leads to a non-existent page. I told Cameron about it 2 weeks ago and nothing has been done. It probably wouldnt matter, but its a signup link on the main body of the page and it seems to me if they cannot be bothered fixing something that simple, then theres probably a lot they cannot be bothered with. I'm out.
