Email from admin received at 0528 GMT today.

E-Gold has been OK all day so far. So ………………….. Who is trying to kid whom? Apart from that there is something strange going on. If you go through an upgrading process you get taken to the E-Gold paying page for 1439643 (surf-my.com), which is correct. However if you use 1439643-usd.01.e-gold.com or http://1439643.e-gold.com/ you get taken to the E-Gold paying page for 1439643 (say) Try inputting 1439643-usd.01.e-gold.com into your browser address bar using your own E-Gold account number instead of 1439643 and it will take you to your own E-Gold account. I think that the first cracks are beginning to show. |

Yes, I must admit that at the time of their e-mail they were right, e-gold really was down, but this is the first time that they've been late, and their site has even accepted my second request for payout, which smells somewhat.

Me too Chris.
I’ve just requested payment for the second time. We shall see what develops. In the meantime they ain’t getting another plugged nickel from me until I get paid. |

Well it looks like Surf-My has done a bunk.
At 25% interest per day for 5 days, Surf-My wasn’t going to last very long. My sympathies and commiserations to anyone who has not managed to get into profit. |

It's almost as if they planned to wait for the first unscheduled downtime at e-gold to give them some breathing space to make a getaway.
Not sure what language that was on the server's error message but their server time was, unusually ahead of GMT. Lithuanian? Magyar? Still, for the first time this year, I've finished up on the deal, having only gambled with the profit from my first 'dabble'. |

How weird - after 'disappearing' several days ago, this morning I got an e-mail from them telling me my upgrade has expired, and lo and behold, they're back, so I've attempted a withdrawal of the balance that I thought I'd never see again.
More of this later if it actually gets paid! |

Two surprises in one week has to be some sort of a record.
Maybe I’ve got this wrong but wasn’t there something about free members cannot withdraw? Only upgraded members. As I was $38 in clear profit and with $12.50 pending I thought that it would be prudent to upgrade with $5 to see what happens. |

Yes good point, although my level of profit is such that it would be wiped out by sending them 5c let alone $5. Might give it a try though.

Don’t bother. Not only no payment but not replying to contact messages either. In 2 days my $5 test upgrade expires and if there is nothing from them by then I guess that it means they’ve just come back to try and squeeze some more cash out of the gullible. I’m still $33.70 in pocket so from my viewpoint they are the losers not me.

Now it seems they've shown their true colours and disappeared completely.
