The rule for appending signatures has been amended to:
NO MORE THAN TWO LINES.

This WILL BE strictly observed so please help us by conforming.

If any signature still contains more than two lines after Sunday 12th June 2005 the extra lines will be deleted.

To make a signature that is added to each post go to userCP and then click on Edit Signature in the menu on the left.

Click on the hyperlink icon just above the text box. The one that looks like a blue circle and in the text box that comes up type in the name of the site or its URL and click OK. In the next box that comes up type in your URL and click OK.

Hit Preview Signature and you will see the results so hit Save Signature and the deed is done.

You can of course add words in colour etc so try a few experiments to get what you want to display.

If you get a PM out of the blue GMANN that is in effect asking to you join so and so then I view that as SPAM and that is against the forum rules. Of course if you ask for someone to PM you an URL and they do then that is OK. Some clever clogs might see that as an opportunity to get around the NO SPAM rule and write something like; “You asked me for the URL of xxxxxxx so here it is” when in fact you did nothing of the sort that is still SPAM.

What you do about SPAM PM’s is up to you. You can either forget it and tuck into another black pudding, or PM me the text contents and I will get in touch with the miscreant and point out the error of their ways. PM’ing the Spammer back to warn them not to Spam you is OK just as long as the PM is not nasty or abusive.

Bring back the CANE!!!

Never mind. You have 3 /// in stead of 2 //

Go to User CP then Edit Signature and in the text box search for 3 /// and delete one of them and then hit Save.

OK! So you’ve got rid of the extra slash but something has gone wrong because your sig URL’s are not hyperlinks anymore.

Time to start from the beginning.

Go to User CP then edit signature and delete whatever is in the text box.

Now click on the hyperlink icon (the little blue circle)

In the User Prompt that comes up type in either the URL of your site - http://www.prime-fund.com/index.php?r=rosstoon - or just its name - Prime-Fund.

Click OK and in the next box that comes up add to the http:// that is displayed - www.prime-fund.com/index.php?r=rosstoon and hit OK.

Do the same for your other URL.

Your sig will now contain your referral URL’s that will be a hyperlink and it will appear in all your previous posts too so there is no need to do a test, just look at one of your previous posts.
